As a New Market Culinary Arts student, you will
step into on the job training in a commercial
setting. The New Market Deli, located on our campus,
is open to the public and operated by Culinary Arts
students like you. The program regularly serves
more than 200 customers daily, as well as caters
meetings and events located on campus.
The well respected Sodexho Corporation, the
largest food management company in the world,
manages the Culinary Arts program. You will master
strict corporate safety and sanitation guidelines,
gaining valuable employment skills and ensuring a
great experience for both you and your customers.
Through classroom instruction and hands-on
experience, you will be taught kitchen procedures,
deli and barista operations, baking/food preparation,
banquet and catering service, and storeroom
management. Your training will prepare you for a
promising career in the culinary or hospitality
industries, working in restaurants, hotels, cafeterias
and resorts.
The most successful workers in any field are
professional in their approach to their job and
demonstrate leadership skills. New Market helps
you acquire these skills with training in time
management, teamwork, organization, communication,
problem solving, decision-making, and
